DMCA & Copyright Policy
VidWhisk respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This page explains our copyright policy and how to submit a takedown request under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws.
We do not host any content
VidWhisk is a tool that helps users retrieve publicly accessible media from third-party platforms. We do not host, store, cache or upload any videos, images or audio on our servers. Files are processed on demand at the user's request and are automatically deleted from our servers a short time afterwards. We do not index or keep a library of any third-party content.
Your responsibility as a user
You may only use VidWhisk to download content that you own or that you have the explicit permission of the rights holder to download, and only where permitted by the source platform's Terms of Service and the laws of your country. Downloading copyrighted material without authorisation may be illegal and is strictly your own responsibility.
Filing a copyright (DMCA) notice
If you are a copyright owner (or an agent acting on their behalf) and you believe that content accessible through this tool infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to support@vidwhisk.com with the subject line "DMCA Takedown", including all of the following:
- Your full name, address and contact details.
- A clear identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact URL(s) or link(s) relating to the material in question.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We review every valid notice and will act promptly — including, where applicable, disabling access to the identified material through our tool.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was wrongly identified, you may submit a counter-notice to the same email address with your contact details, identification of the material, and a good-faith statement that it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
Repeat infringers
We may restrict or block access for users who repeatedly misuse this tool to infringe copyright.
